Kaat Lambrechts als winnaar van de
Jane Klausman Women in Business Scholarships!

On December 13th 2021, Zonta International has proudly announced the district, region and international winners of the Jane Klausman Women in Business Scholarships for 2021.

The 31 impressive women winners from 25 countries are students in business management, accounting, finance and more.

Our Kaat Lambrechts, was not only elected the ZC Brussel Zavel Jane Klausman winner 2021 but also got the Z.I. District 27 2021 Jane Klausman Women in Business Scholarship. Kaat is a Master student in Business Engineering at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel, Solvay Business School, Belgium. She receives the District Award of US$ 2000 from Zonta International. She is a former YWPA winner in 2017 from Zonta Club Brussel Zavel.

"The Jane M. Klausman Women in Business scholarship represents to me an opportunity to fully focus on my professional goals while continuing my education and drawing out the next steps of my future career.

My vision of the world is as follows - I want to live in a society where the talents and achievements of women and men are valued and celebrated equally: a society that actively invests into its whole population to achieve its full potential. As a 21-year-old last year’s student in Business Engineering at Solvay Business School in Brussels, I'd like to believe I am on a path to contribute to this vision.

By leading and founding Corporate Women Association, an organization whose mission is to improve gender equality in the business world, I have had the opportunity to connect with many professionals from diverse business fields. These interactions, together with the experience I have gained in a 6-month internship in a life-science company, made it clear to me I would like to direct my future career to the ever-evolving field of corporate finance.

As I was a YWPA laureate in 2017, my connection with Zonta has run like a thread through my academic life. This scholarship represents to me an opportunity to fully focus on my professional goals, while continuing my education and drawing out the future steps of my career. I recommend other young women to not hesitate to apply for the Jane M. Klausman Women in Business Scholarship 2022, the application experience is beyond enriching."
